Clean up is so easy due to the blade being attached to the blender container itself. I mostly use it for making green smoothies which is really easy since the "2" button is preprogrammed for it. The only slight annoyance is that when really packing the jar full, if not packed correctly, the contents will get wedged at the top and the blades will just spin. It didn't take me very long to learn how to put stuff in so that this almost never happens. When it does it is very easy to just hit stop, pull the top part off the lid, and push the contents down a little. I have also tried making green smoothies in a VitaMix and the Blendtec is way easier.
